At Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital we believe that preventative care is the foundation for a healthy, happy, long-lived pet. Pets age faster than people and most pets are mature by age two. At 7 years of age, many pets are entering their senior years. Because cats and dogs age so rapidly, major health changes can occur in a short period of time. Many diseases are treated if caught before irreversible changes have occurred. Therefore we recommend annual or twice annual physical examinations to help us diagnose, treat or prevent problems before they become life-threatening. During these examinations we will discuss and administer immunizations, internal and external parasite treatment and prevention, blood and urine tests and other measures to ensure prevention and early detection of disease.
Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital was founded in 1971 by James F. Sachtjen, DVM and was accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) in 1976. It is through Dr. Sachtjen's dedication to quality care for companion animals that Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital has grown during the last thirty-five years to include over 31 compassionate team members providing veterinary care for your pet(s).
